what we believe... In our office it isn’t about the crime you are charged with, but the person you are. At the Law Firm of Richard J. Segura, Jr., every client is an individual. We take the time to understand your fears, your priorities, your needs, and your questions. In our office there is no single answer to a type of case. We assess your needs and life goals and work to get you the outcome that best matches your priorities. For some clients that will mean fighting to a non-guiltily verdict at trial and for some it will mean disposing of the case early in the process. Most of our clients have never been involved with the criminal justice system. In fact, most never thought they would even be arrested. Our first goal is to educate and guide you. We first address what worries you most, and focus our efforts on your needs. Many clients are afraid they are going to go to jail, and for most of our clients that is almost never the case; others are worried that they are going to have a permanent conviction on their record, and that is often not the case. We sit down with each client to discuss their concerns–and help them understand what is happening.
